Pumpkin Pie with Pork

As I am really a passionate person in the kitchen, I really enjoy cooking with many ingredients based on my fans’ requests, this is one of the recipes that I have been asked to prepare again.
This type of cake, they’ve seen me for a long time since my mother and grandmother used to cook it as a child.
A great pumpkin pie with pork, for a great gift.

  • 500 grams of pumpkin

  • 500 grams of ground pork

  • 3 Flour tortillas

  • 250 grams of Manchego cheese

  • 10 dehydrated tomatoes

  • 1/2 Cup of Mayonnaise

  • 1 onion

  • 2 Cloves of garlic

  • 4 tree chilies

  • Salt

  • Pepper




The pumpkin is cooked and cut into small pieces.

The dehydrated tomatoes are cut into strips

The onion and garlic are finely chopped.

Heat a little oil or lard, add the chopped onion and garlic.

Once they are fried, add the strips of dehydrated tomatoes, mix to add the ground meat, add salt and pepper. Cover and let it cook for ten minutes.

The mold where it is going to bake, is greased with a little butter.

The flour tortillas are spread with mayonnaise until they are completely covered.

Put a flour tortilla in the mold and cover it with the cooked meat.

Put a thick layer of pumpkin, and then put the manchego striped cheese.

The procedure is repeated twice to finish covering the tortilla with a generous layer of pumpkin, cheese and pepper.

It is placed in the preheated oven for thirty minutes at 180 degrees.

The pumpkin pie with pork is removed and dried parsley is added.

The pumpkin pie with pork is a good option to prepare it for the snack at school or work, because it can be consumed hot or cold, in any case its flavor is great.

In the video, I present you the preparation of a pumpkin pie with pork, but to take advantage of the oven I like to cook several pumpkin pies that I can freeze for up to a month.
